Elim Life Church Kingstanding Mission 2017
I would like to thank Salon Iris for part sponsoring me this year to go out to Moshi, Tanzania to help build a playground for a Children’s home run by Into Africa Foundation (part of Elim Missionaries) headed up my missionaries John and Debbie Bullock.
These children were moved from a rundown orphanage in Arusha.
To a clean, healthier and safe place, In Moshi near Mount Kilimanjaro.
On Sunday 26 February 2017 at 4pm a team of 7 of us lead by Pastor Jon Skelton left Birmingham for London Heathrow meeting up with an 8th member of our team Beth Bullock daughter of John & Deb this was to be surprise for her parents. So we caught a 9.55pm Qatar Flight to Kilimanjaro arriving on Monday at 2.30 pm tired but happy to be in Kilimanjaro. After giving John & Deb the surprise of their daughter we moved on to Moshi our headquarters for the next two weeks. With a 3 day trip to Babati in the middle to Visit the place of Jon’s very first Mission to Tanzania in 1999.
After a day to get settled in we started our Mission on Wednesday 1st March to build a playground for 9 orphaned children at the moment. After preparing the ground we got started. We put our heads together and came up with the plan to build 3 swings, climbing frame with a rope wall and tyre ladder, balancing beam, stumps and a seesaw.
The completed Playground.
While doing this we also managed to renovate the guest apartment as well.
We bought new mattresses for Babati Elim Bible College students.
